The Nuk

So there are a lot of opinions out there about whether or not you should give your baby a pacifier. After much consideration and a lot of sleepless nights we decided that Will needed the security of his "nuk" and gave in! It has really helped him soothe himself to sleep and has been a lifesaver at night. He does like to stay up late - which I am not used to. Since becoming pregnant I was asleep every night by 9:00 PM so it's been an adjustment. He really likes his afternoon naps and enjoys late night TV. Everybody Loves Raymond has become a staple for us. We have our next pediatrician appt on Friday and I'm hoping that we can start trying to put him on a schedule next week.

I had my first follow-up appt yesterday. The PIH/Pre-eclampsia is still lingering in my system. My BP has dropped significantly, but enzymes are still slightly elevated. Repeat testing early next week. Keeping my fingers crossed that the labs come back lower this time.

  1. Tam,
We always used a nuk for both kids. No worries! Isaac got rid of his on his own at 10 months and Macie Jade was a challenge and we didn't take it away til she was almost 2. You give it to him and get some shut eye girl! It's all good. He is so beautiful! Please keep doing this because I absolutely love learning about your new angel. Love you all, Ry

  2. Don't stress to much about a schedule. He'll put himself on one before you know it! Enjoy the nuk while you can! :)

  3. hey - you gotta do what works best for all of you. I agree - both of my kids had the "bink" and they're both just fine. Don't sweat the small stuff. Rockie
