Wow - 7 weeks old today. I cannot believe how quickly time has gone by. This week was an exciting week. Will hit the 6 week growth spurt I've been reading about. For several days all he wanted to do was eat....constantly. He's back to normal now, but it took 4 - 5 days. From what I can tell he is about 23 inches long now. He goes back to Dr. Rivera in two weeks for a check-up and his shots. I'm not looking forward to the shots, but I am looking forward to pushing past the scary fever portion of Will's life. As a baby a fever will require a 48 hour hospital stay (automatic) and a potential spinal tap. I know I'm crazy concerned about it, but I can't help it. Will has yet to make an appearance in a major public place, but we will hit all of the important places after July 30th! He also cannot wait to be able to play with all of his friends and attend some barbecues.
He is also working hard towards laughing out loud. It is amazing how something we take so much for granted is such hard work for them. I could watch him make faces and stretch for hours just trying to get the noises out. It's just a matter of days - hopefully I catch it. If I had an SLR camera I have no doubts, but since Mommy still has the same old boring camera we will just have to hope for the best.
Today we went to visit our friend Sharon's Mom. It was a blast and Will enjoyed himself! I'm sure it feels good to get out. After all, new faces = long holding time for the little guy! :) We are expecting some visitors tomorrow as well. Some very special people from Daddy's college days (no, not the Grateful Dead).
Happy 7 weeks buster! We are so lucky and you are the most amazing gift we could have ever been given. We thank God for you each and every day - you are truly a miracle. Love Mama and Dada!
